Fred A. Baity, 78, of Acworth, died Thursday, February 7, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Sunday afternoon in the County Line United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott D. Pickering officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Baity will lie in state in the church for 1 hour prior to the funeral service. A native of Murphy, NC, Mr. Baity had lived in Acworth since 1964. He served his country in the US Army and retired from the Lockheed Georgia Corporation as manager of the model shop, after 40 years of service to the company. He was a member of County Line United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louella Baity of Acworth; daughter, Donna B. (Keith) Rea of Marietta; sons, David Baity of Dallas and Thomas Baity of Acworth; grandchildren, Laura Baity, Dustin Baity, Ashlynn Baity, Abigail Baity, and Ross Rea; great-grandchildren, Johnathon and Kennedy; sister, Emma Lou Nichols of Augusta; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the County Line United Methodist Church, 1183 County Line Rd., Acworth, GA 30101.
