Mr. Joseph “Joe” Edward Boyd Jr., age 80 of Marietta, passed away Friday February 1, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Milford Baptist Church in Marietta with Reverend Clarence Howard officiating. A Thomaston, GA native, Mr. Boyd was a 1951 graduate of Brown High School in Atlanta, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He had lived in Cobb County for over 50 years and was an active member of Milford Baptist Church where he served as Deacon Emeritus. In 1995 he retired from JC Penny. Surviving are Wife, Susan Boyd of Marietta; 2 Sons, Gerry Boyd of Marietta, Andrew Kemp of Austell; 2 Daughters and Sons-in-law, Linda and Jerry Mulkey of Austell, Dana and Curtis Jones of Irmo, SC.; 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
