Curley Dean Holden, aka Willie Hunt, of Los Angeles was originally arrested Jan. 20 on felony charges of terroristic threats and acts.
While being held in the Cobb County Jail, county detectives issued a second warrant for his arrest in connection with the Jan. 2 murder of Justin Mitchell, who was a rapper named “Yung Teddy.”
The 23-year-old was also charged with felony murder and three counts of aggravated assault. He remains in the Cobb County Jail without bond.
According to the Jan. 25 warrant, Holden is accused of shooting and killing Mitchell, 23, with a handgun at a residence in the 1500 block of Pine Circle in Austell.
Holden is also accused of forcing his way into the residence using the gun, grabbing one woman, whose name is not being released, and holding the gun against her neck and ordering her not to move.
A second woman in the home was also ordered not to move, and a fourth victim, a 3-year-old child, was also in the house.
Sgt. Dana Pierce with Cobb Police said one woman was Mitchell’s live-in girlfriend and the child was hers. The second woman was a friend.
He also said there could be more charges because a child was in the location where the crime occurred.
Pierce said Holden and Mitchell were acquaintances, but detectives are not sure how they knew each other.
“Detectives suspect a motive but have not been able to officially determine it,” he added. “We are also still looking for a second individual who has not been identified.”
The second suspect is described as a “medium-skinned” male, between 5-feet-4 and 5-feet-6 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored beanie with a navy blue bandana covering his face.
Anyone with information on the homicide is asked to call (770) 499-3945 or call 911.
