John T. Laster, Jr., age 88, of Dallas, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Polly Laster and is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Wyleen Thomas, Annette and Gene Smith, Cheryl & Tommy Turner; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Laster and Jack Laster; sisters, Bobbie Jo Rolen and Mary Lou Goble; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt.
