I find it interesting, but not surprising, that Cobb Commission Chairman Tim Lee has changed his position on IMAGE, now that the election is over. Is anyone surprised?

It was embarrassing to see a Cobb County resident handcuffed and removed from last week’s commission meeting. Lee said afterward that once speakers ignore his request (to give their names before addressing the commission), the decision is up to police officers as to how to proceed.” He is dead wrong! Chairing a Commission meeting is the responsibility of the chairman, not police officers. The safety and well-being for everyone in the room is the responsibility of the chairman. Lee just flat lied and is anyone surprised?

After raising taxes six times last year, his proposal to raise his own salary (and those of other elected officials) by 3 percent now, in the middle of hard times, is outrageous. Is anyone surprised?

All of this in just one week in January! Happy New Year!

The Republican Party in Washington is being “bulldozed” by the President and not one single Republican congressman from Georgia is speaking out. The Republican Party is void of courageous leadership and the next four years at the national and local level will change our country and county for a generation. Is anyone surprised?

Elections have consequences and we are all paying the price!
