Dedric Raheem Baisden and Dwight Foster Moore, both 19 years old, were arrested Thursday and Friday on charges of felony aggravated assault, burglary, armed robbery and murder. Baisden was taken into custody without incident in DeKalb County, and the arrest location of Moore has not been released, according to Officer Mike Bowman with Cobb County Police Department.
They both remain in the Cobb County Jail without bond.
According to a release from Cobb Police, the two men are accused of killing 30-year-old Brandon Brazil of Marietta, who was found shot to death just before 11 p.m. on Jan. 11 at Sedgefield apartments in the 1100 block of West Commons Lane in Marietta.
Bowman said Baisden and Moore are accused of shooting and killing Brazil while attempting to rob his apartment.
“The report doesn’t say if they actually stole anything though,” he added.
He also said police are not releasing information about how the teenagers knew Brazil or, if they did, how detectives connected them to the shooting death. Nor would they say if more charges could be filed or if anyone else was in the apartment at the time of the incident aside from Baisden, Moore and Brazil.
“We just know that we had multiple calls in reference to gunshots being fired at the apartment complex,” Bowman said. “The investigation is still ongoing.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cobb Police at (770) 499-3900.
