KENNESAW — Kennesaw Mayor Mark Mathews has been appointed to the National League of Cities 2013 community and economic development steering committee.
This committee has the lead responsibility for developing federal policy positions on issues involving housing, community and economic development, land use, recreation and parks, historic preservation, and international competitiveness. The appointment was announced by league President Marie Lopez Rogers, mayor of Avondale, Ariz. The league is a resource and advocate for 19,000 cities, towns and villages.

He announced the other day that he's on the committee to design the new control tower at McCollum Field. Someone PLEASE explain to me how this man is in ANY way qualified (based on his education or work experience, what little of either there is) to help design an air traffic control tower.
Kennesaw City Hall is a mess. He did such a bad job on the ARC they kicked him off the transportation committee.
Look at all the lawsuits against the city.
The back room deals, the wasting of tax payer money.
We have to suffer with him for almost another 3 years. Let's hope the people of Kennesaw have finally seen the light and vote him out in the next election.
