EDITOR’S NOTE: Below is a selection of the responses from readers of MDJOnline.com in reaction to recent MDJ stories. D.A. King column: “Jobs the Cobb GOP and a brewing scandal.” … SW Gal — “You build it... They will come,” was a good phrase in the movie “Field of Dreams,” but is not a good mantra for Cobb County and for Georgia. If Commission Chairman Lee continues to let the Chamber of Commerce, CW Mathews and other vendors dictate that Cobb citizens pay for the entitlements most of the illegal labor pool requires to make up for the low wages these vendors pay these poor people from other countries, that magnet will continue to draw them here. Gordo Meis — Tim Lee should give it up and do the right thing. The public here is on D.A. King’s side. Lib in Cobb — It seems that the explanation given for the terminology used is not good enough for D.A. King. Not surprising. DA continues to scream at the passing cars. Marie in Marietta — I don’t think you want to save jobs for legal people if it involves actually enforcing our laws. Oh Lib. Go cry in front of a passing car? Sheeple, sheeple — Meaningless lip service, that’s all this is. America is being brought down and Cobb officials are just going along with the plan. Pat H — It is shameful that this is even being debated. All contractors, subcontractors and sub-subcontractors, etc., who receive money from the taxpayers should be using E-Verify and then be subjected to audits through the IMAGE program. Without verification and audits, and then enforcing loss of contracts with the county, the laws mean nothing. Watcher — Commissar Lee probably wants to delay action to make certain that this change is OK with the Cobb Chamber, Jim Croy and all of his Contractors and Sub-Contractors. VFP42 — Why does Dustin Inman want to make it harder and harder for employers to provide jobs? America is hurting, people can’t find jobs, but Dustin Inman and his society are trying to place the burden of even more governmental regulations onto employers who want to hire. Dustin Inman apparently does not want YOU working, no matter WHO you are. These regulations apply to the employer no matter who the prospective employee might be, even if it’s YOU. That hinders my and your ability to find a job. Sheeple, sheeple — You, my friend (vfp42), are a perfect example of a sheep and a traitor. My thanks to DA King for all he does and all the crap he’s willing to take from greedy folks that have been willing to sell out our country and their fellow Americans, just to get a little feather in their hat (maybe a road or park contract) and a dime in their pocket. Ann Agorey — @vfp42 (Kevin Foley or Tim Lee, whoever you really are) Too funny — it looks like you may not like Mr. King. For good reason, he is much smarter than you and you hate to be ignored. I see it that King wants to make it harder for illegal aliens to get a job with illegal, cheating employers who are the real bosses around here. You aren’t really fooling anyone. BTW I know the Inmans. Dustin Inman was a 16-year-old boy killed by an illegal alien. Go tell it to Billy and Kathy Inman that we shouldn’t try to stop the invasion! Vorant — Bravo, a step in the right direction, although a tad bit late in coming. American Jobs for American Citizens First!

Mostly the same old gibberish from the same old complainers.

Anyone who cares for facts know that undocumented immigrants create more new jobs than they take...and most of the ones they take no one wants to do anyway.
