ATLANTA — U.S. Rep. Tom Price (R-Roswell) says the House GOP is divided between red-state Republicans and blue-state Republicans.

And the Roswell Republican told WMAL radio in Washington on Wednesday that the chamber needs leaders from red states.

Price stopped short of saying Ohio’s John Boehner should not be re-elected as speaker on Thursday. But his comments were a clear dig at Boehner after the speaker supported a so-called fiscal cliff deal that most House Republicans opposed.

Price noted that an overwhelming majority of the Republicans who joined Democrats in supporting the deal come from states that President Barack Obama won in November. The top four House Republicans, including Boehner, hail from Obama states.

One of them, Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington, defeated Price in November to become Republican Conference chairwoman.

What a crock. Rep Price is so milk-toast and is suppose to be a spokesperson for Cobb citizens. He's afraid he'll be called a radical so his voice is silent. He may want to enroll in the Pelosi School of Behavior.

Thanks Dr. price for voting against a bill that oncreases our deficit by $4 trillion! I agree - new leadership is needed. Fiscally conservative leadership.

To dr price thanks for voting against this bill. If democrats are for it how can republicans vote for it. We can't even decrease the amount of growth to the fed govt much less even freez spending. How long can this country spend 1 trillion more than it brings in survive as we know it. Same comments apply to Phil gingery also.

If Tom Price really believes the House GOP needs new leadership, why doesn't he resign so a leader can take his place? Price couldn't even lead Cathy McMorris Rodgers to the buffet at the Ryan's Steakhouse!
