MARIETTA - Marietta Police have identified the man who died Monday after a train struck him near the Marietta Square.
Anthony McCullum, 27, of Marietta, was walking on the tracks near Whitlock Avenue around 5:45 p.m. Monday when the incident occurred, according to Officer David Baldwin with Marietta Police.
McCullum was rushed to Kennestone Hospital in Marietta in serious condition, where he later died.
The three major intersections around the Square near the tracks were closed early Monday night while police investigated the incident.
