ATLANTA — Seven schools in Cobb County were honored by the Georgia Department of Education as part of the state’s Elementary and Secondary Education Act flexibility waiver.
West Side Elementary in the Marietta district was named a “Highest Performing” school. These are Title I schools that have the highest performance over three years for the “all students” group on the statewide assessments.
Marietta City’s Sawyer Road Elementary was placed in the “High Progress” category for having the biggest academic gains, along with Osborne High, Lindley Middle and Austell, Sky View and Fair Oaks elementary schools in Cobb Schools.
These are Title I schools that make the most progress in improving the performance of the “all students” group over three years on the statewide assessments.
