ROME, Ga. (AP) — Rome’s school board will meet to discuss its search for a new schools superintendent.
The Board of Education plans a meeting Thursday to discuss how to find a replacement for the outgoing superintendent, Gayland Cooper. The Rome News-Tribune reports Cooper will retire at the end of the year.
Jim Puckett of the Georgia School Boards Association plans to attend the meeting and outline a process by which the board can select a new superintendent by Nov. 30.
