Pamela Newton, president, welcomed guests and recognized the original members present: Carol Worley, Nadine Read, Pat McNeel, Caroline Witcher, Barbara Renshaw and Ann Stribling. Mary Suhr was unable to attend. Renshaw served as the first president of the club in 1952.
Nadine Read presented each member a history of the past 10 years to supplement the 50th history prepared by Florrie Corley and Sylvia Ingram. Lisa McNeel, vice president, introduced Dr. Harry E. Price, professor and Director of the School of Music in the College of Arts at Kennesaw State University who informed the group of the many opportunities at KSU.
Classical harpist Tyler Hartley of KSU performed several musical selections and entertained members during lunch following the meeting.

On Sept. 20, co-chairs Cassandra Buckalew and April Wright revealed the homes for the Marietta Pilgrimage Christmas Tour at the Marietta Pilgrimage Kickoff at the Earl Smith Strand Theatre.
The 2012 Tour Homes are the Dodd-Cook-Lloyd House, c. 1926; the Simpson-Moor-Pearlberg House, c. 1907; the Cogburn-Hyde-Roland House, c. 1905; the Blair-Runyon-Gay House, c. 1900 and the Morris-Gantt-Stark House, c. 1896.
