On the same day that the MDJ ran the editorial “Video, Mulligan’s Flap Reminders that Free Speech is Under Attack,” there was an attack on free speech — in my yard!
Tuesday, we secured two Romney-Ryan yard signs from the Republican office on Roswell Street, and I pushed the wire holders into the ground; one sign for the front yard and one for the side.
Wednesday morning, when we got our newspaper, someone had torn down the signs and had thrown them into the bushes.
(I know that it had to be someone driving through, because no neighbor of mine would do such a thing.)
The point is, free speech in this country, and yes — even in my neighborhood — is under attack.
Is this the end result of class warfare politics? What will happen when those signs are replaced?
We’ll see, because we will exercise our free speech rights and put up more Romney-Ryan signs.
