MARIETTA - Jeffrey Malcolm Carson, 40, was arrested last Wednesday at his residence on Barrier Road in Marietta on multiple misdemeanor charges including striking a fixed object at a Marietta elementary school, failing to report an accident, endangering a child by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to the warrant, he hit a fence at Mountain View Elementary School off Sandy Plains Road in northeast Marietta and did not report the incident around 7:40 a.m. Sept. 19.
“He did continue driving his 2007 Toyota Pre Runner with a flat tire and busted wheel from Mountain View Elementary to his residence,” the warrant states.
Carson’s 6-year-old daughter was in the car when he had the accident, the warrant states.
“A chemical breath test indicated an alcohol concentration of .220 grams,” according to the warrant.
He was released that same day on a $10,000 bond.
Additional details about the arrest and accident have not been released by the Cobb County School District or Cobb County Police Department.
