Activities included a tour of Mt. Rainier, a visit to see the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia, a food tour at Pike Place Market, a visit to see the Columbia Gorge and the Multnomah Waterfalls, and a tour of the history of the food carts in Portland.

Mildred and Clayborn Davis of Jasper (formerly of Marietta) will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 27. The Rev. J.R. Cain married the couple in Ellijay in 1947. Mr. Davis is retired from Lockheed Georgia Co.
A reception hosted by the Davis children will be Sept. 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Gospel Temple Church at 10733 Ball Ground Highway in Ball Ground. Friends and family are invited to attend. No gifts please.
