POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) — Owners of a gun club being built in metro Atlanta have been granted a permit to serve patrons cold beer after they holster their smoking pistols.
WSB-TV reports the city council in Powder Spring has approved an alcohol permit for The Governor's Club. Owner Kristina Brown says she and her husband plan to operate a lounge at the $3.5 million gun range when it opens.
Brown notes that Georgia law now allows people with gun permits to carry firearms into businesses that serve booze. She says her gun club is "taking it even a step further."
However, Brown says customers who order drinks at the gun club bar will have their IDs flagged and won't be allowed to return to the firing range.

I would be more concerned about what happens in the parking lot once the customers leave with a gun on their hip and a few beers under their belt.
"Paddle faster I hear banjos".
The stupidity of the gun range owner applying for an alcohol license is exacerbated by the government granting the license.
