Health park plans Family Day today

MARIETTA — WellStar Acworth Health Park, located at 4550 Cobb Parkway NW, will host a free Family Fun Day from 2 to 5 p.m. today. The building dedication will begin at 1:30 p.m. Speakers include U.S. Representative Phil Gingrey, M.D. and Cobb County Commission chairman Tim Lee.

Activities will include food, a hot air balloon, a rock wall, a giant slide, an inflatable obstacle course, a helicopter, police/fire and EMS vehicles, WellStar WellScreens, blood pressure checks and youth sports safety tips.

Atlanta Braves alumni Jeff Treadway and Johnny Estrada will also be in attendance. Prizes include a home gym, set of mountain bikes and a trip for four to Walt Disney World.
