You may know that Martinis & Music at Marietta Cobb Museum of Art at 30 Atlanta St. rocks! Aug. 24 was no exception. A full house packed the museum for music, art and cocktails.

In April, 45-year-old Jeff Bradford died of sudden cardiac death, the result of an abrupt loss of heart function. On Aug. 25 and 26, the Jefferson Memorial Tennis Tournament was held in his honor at Lost Mountain Tennis Center at 4845 Dallas Highway in Powder Springs.

The tournament featured men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Proceeds from the fundraising event benefitted Hillgrove High School Grid Iron Club where Jeff’s son, Tyler attended. Jeff is also survived by his wife, Shirley Bradford of Powder Springs.

CenterStage North is holding open auditions for “Dashing Through the Snow” by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten at The Art Place Mountain View at 3330 Sandy Plains Road near Shallowford Road in east Cobb on Sept. 18 and 19, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Auditions will be cold readings from the script. A headshot and resume are preferred, but not required. Be prepared to list your conflicts with the rehearsal schedule, which will be available at the auditions.

The play is a Texas comedy. Texas accents can be taught. The play runs from Dec. 7 to 15. A read- through will be Sept. 25 and rehearsals will start two weeks later.

CenterStage North needs eight women ages 40 to 50, two women ages 50 to 60, two women who can play an 80-year-old, four men ages 40 to 50 and one man age 50 to 60.
