KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Police are trying to find whoever is responsible for throwing rocks and debris from a railroad overpass onto cars as they drove by on the highway below.

Authorities say several vehicles were damaged early Saturday morning after motorists reported smashed windshields and other damage on Old U.S. 41 highway near Kennesaw.

No injuries have been reported.

Stacy Cannon tells CBS Atlanta that she was driving on the highway when debris shattered her windshield and landed in the passenger seat. Cannon said it sounded like a gunshot.

Cobb Police have followed up, and revised the location to the railroad crossing that goes over Barrett Parkway just north of Stilesboro Rd. The inital report said Old 41, that was apparently incorrect.

The location is in unincorporated Cobb, On old 41 near Stilesboro Rd. The location has a Kennesaw zip code.

Thanks but I just don't know anywhere that a railroad goes under "old 41". Are you sure it's not another road? I even looked at google maps and there is only two places that a rail crosses old 41 near Stilesboro and the road goes OVER the rail in both cases. Just trying to be accurate and careful to avoid this as another has written. Thanks again.

I was wondering about that myself because it doesn't. I sure would like to be aware and/or avoid that area but I have no idea from reading this article where this happened. Could the MDJ please clarify this for the thousands who drive old 41 everyday? Thank you.
