MARIETTA — Bus riders in the Cobb and Marietta school districts will be allowed to bring water in containers with lids or caps throughout August and September.

“The District's bus rules prohibit food, gum or drinks from being consumed or opened while on the school bus,” Cobb Schools spokesman Doug Goodwin said. “The District has waived that rule … this will help our students stay hydrated and healthy while being transported home from school.”
