KENNESAW — Richard Masters, 56, of Kennesaw is still missing after his brother reported his disappearance on July 21, Rabun County Officer John Crane said. Ken Masters of Acworth said he has not seen his brother since July 19 and that he liked to hike the Tallulah Falls area in Rabun County, police said.

On July 26, deputies found Richard Master’s car, a dark blue late 1990s Jeep Cherokee, unoccupied in the Tallulah Falls area, police said. The vehicle did not have any evidence that anything was wrong. Crane said they conducted an extensive search of the area’s trails using aircraft and K-9 teams, but have recently scaled back the search. Anything known about Richard Master’s should be reported to the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 782-3612 or Rabun County Emergency Dispatch at (706) 782-6226.
