Cobb Police asking for help identifying man found in Chattahoochee River

EAST COBB — Two fishermen found a man’s body in east Cobb on Wednesday, Cobb Police said.

According to investigators, the fishermen found the body while they were flyfishing in the Chattahoochee River near 6640 Akers Mill Road, near the county line.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the victim, who is described as a black man, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall with numerous tattoos.

Police are treating the man’s death as a homicide but are not releasing the manner or cause of death.
