***Are you a band, singer/songwriter wanting to perform? The Marietta Grassroots Music Festival on Sept. 15 will give you the opportunity. This year the festival is teaming up with Streetfest, Antiques, Autos and More for a fun-filled day of entertainment.
Bands will have the opportunity to play in front of large crowds, sell their merchandise, and gain recognition. This is not a paying gig, but an opportunity for your band to get its name out there. Bands must meet certain qualifications to be a part of the music festival. Any genre of music is acceptable as long as it is family friendly. The deadline for the band application submission is Aug. 4.
The festival is also hosting an artist competition for local artists. Winning submission will be printed on front of this year’s festival T-shirt. Submissions are due Aug. 24. Volunteers are also needed for the festival.
Visit www.MariettaGrassroots.org for festival details including bands, artists and volunteers.
