KENNESAW– Members of Kennesaw’s Ethics Board met at the Ben Robertson Community Center on Tuesday to vote on Mayor Mark Mathews alleged violation of the city’s Code of Ethics.
The final vote was that the complaint, filed by Kennesaw resident and Georgia EMS employee, David Ermutlu, was unjustified.
It was decided, by City Manager Steve Kennedy, that all emergency calls would now be dispatched to MetroAtlanta Ambulances rather than Georgia EMS.
Mayor Mathews is employed by MetroAtlanta Ambulances and Ermutlu complained this was a conflict of interests.
The full board of five members met for about an hour and dismissed Ermutlu’s complaints and deemed them groundless.
