Smyrna City Council expected to select new finance director
SMYRNA — The Smyrna City Council is expected to appoint a new city finance director at tonight’s 7:30 p.m. meeting at City Hall.
Council members will vote on whether to appoint Toni Jo
Howard to the position. Howard most recently served as Fayette County’s assistant chief financial officer.
In May, the position became vacant when past Finance Director Monica Jones moved to Dayton, Ohio.
Acworth board meeting canceled
ACWORTH — Tonight’s Acworth Board of Aldermen regularly scheduled public hearing/work session has been canceled because of a lack of agenda items to present before the mayor and board, the city’s clerk office reported.
City reschedules council meeting
POWDER SPRINGS — Tonight’s Powder Springs City Council meeting has been rescheduled to July 23, the city’s clerk office reported.
In addition, the council’s agenda work session has been rescheduled to 5 p.m.
Wednesday at the Community Development Building, 4488 Pineview Drive.
