AUSTELL — Police have charged an Austell man with involuntary manslaughter and other charges in the death of a woman on the Silver Comet Trail.

Randall Giansiracusa, 52, and Elizabeth Neesley, 52, were riding an ATV on the Silver Comet Trail just after midnight on June 30 when the vehicle struck a metal post. Neesley was thrown from the vehicle and died immediately, while Giansiracusa sustained only minor injuries.

Witnesses told police that both Giansiracusa and Neesley were driving at different times, and police still do not know exactly who was driving at the time of the crash. Police suspect alcohol was involved.

Giansiracusa is charged with reckless conduct, criminal trespass and involuntary manslaughter. The Cobb County Jail's website shows that he is free on $20,000 bond. .
