DECATUR, Ga. (AP) _ Authorities say they recovered a gun that was being stored as police evidence when they say a man showed up with the stolen weapon at a shooting victim’s funeral.

Camenthia Antwan Dixon of Decatur, 21, was taken into custody Tuesday night, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Officers at the funeral spotted Dixon with the gun and later determined it was stolen, sheriff’s officials said.

Weapons and other evidence from criminal cases had been stolen from an off-site storage facility in 2011, DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James told WSB-TV. James said he stopped the practice of storing evidence there after the break-in.

The funeral where Dixon was arrested was being held for 19-year-old Carlos Henderson Jr., one of two people shot to death last week in the parking lot of Victory of the World Church near Stone Mountain after a funeral there. Authorities say the funeral where gunfire broke out was for 19-year-old Ryan Guider, who had also been shot to death on May 26.

Dixon faces several charges, including theft by receiving stolen property and carrying a concealed weapon. DeKalb County Jail records do not indicate whether he has an attorney.
