URBANA, Ohio (AP) _ A landlord who found an Ohio woman’s dismembered remains in her bathtub says a “gut feeling” compelled him to break into the bathroom after her mother came looking for her.

Gary Zerkle tells The Associated Press that 21-year-old Jessica Sacco’s mother arrived at her Urbana home Thursday night, finding nothing amiss, but a locked bathroom door.

The next morning, he broke it down, pulled back the shower curtain and ran out of the house, gasping.

Shuddering, he says he can’t describe what he found.

The slain woman had recently moved from California. Her on-again, off-again boyfriend has been charged with murder. Another Urbana couple and one from Fenton, Mich., are also charged, accused of watching the killing or helping dispose of remains.

Some parts were found miles away in Kentucky.
