Mr. Charles Edward “Chuck” Callahan, Jr., age 80 of Smyrna, passed away Saturday, December 3rd. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Dec. 10th at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna with Father Jim Kuczynski officiating. Entombment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. Mr.Callahan was a Korean War Veteran and had been employed by Lockheed Air Craft for over 30 years as a Flight Engineer and Instructor on the C130 Hercules. He was a member of the American Legion Post #160 for over 50 years and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by first wife Frances Grace Lagana Callahan, second wife Ana Callahan and son Charlie Callahan, III. Surviving are 2 sons, Sean (Beth) Callahan of Good Hope, Dwayne Callahan of Smyrna; daughter, Angie (Ken) Hann of Smyrna; grandsons, Dylan Jacob Hann of Smyrna, Dane & Kyle Callahan of Good Hope. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Decemeber 9th at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna.
