Ruth Chatham Brice of 3243 Harris Road, Marietta, GA, died on December 3rd. She is survived by her son, Michael Brice and his wife Frances; 2 granddaughters, Michelle Kraker of Templeton, CA and Stephanie Brice of Hiram, GA; great grandson, Brice Kraker of Templeton, CA; brother, James “Bud” Chatham of Villa Rica, GA and many nieces and nephews. Born in Peoria, GA on February 15, 1920, daughter of James Harvey Chatham and Bertie Estelle Chatham, she was 1 of 9 children and she graduated in 1936 from Colbert High School. She married Charles Henry Brice on December 24, 1941 and retired in 1982 from the State of Georgia Dept. of Revenue, Atlanta, GA. She was a member of the American Legion Post #160 Ladies Auxiliary. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the American Legion Post #160 Scholarship Fund, 160 Legion Drive, Smyrna, GA 30080. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Carmichael Funeral Home, 2950 King St., Smyrna, GA 30080, (770) 435-4467. Interment will immediately follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta.
