Emmette Aaron Wallace, 84, of Kennesaw, Georgia, died Thursday, December 1, 2011. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 11am from Kennesaw First Baptist Church with Revs. Perry Fowler and Charles Pearce officiating. Burial will be at 2pm on Wednesday at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Mr. Wallace was born in the Old Texas area of Monroe County, Alabama, on June 24, 1927. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kennesaw. Mr. Wallace served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He attended Auburn University and was retired from the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation. He served on the Kennesaw City Council from 1967 through 1970. Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his Wife, Evelyn Helton Wallace; his Parents, C.D. and Leona Wallace; and Brothers Burley, Byron, Bishop, and Tim. He is survived by his children, Tommy Wallace and his wife, Donna, of Talking Rock, GA, and Melonie Wallace of Acworth; his Grandchildren, Stacy Wallace, Amanda Prescott, and Richard Wallace; his Great Granddaughter, Kirsten Wallace; Sisters, Carrie Wetherell of Orlando, FL, and Susie Collett of Euless, TX; Nieces and Nephews; and many dear Friends. The Family will receive Friends on Monday and Tuesday from 5pm-8pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions c/o First Baptist Church of Kennesaw, N. Main Street, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
