Earl “Bug” Porter Jr., age 84, of Powder Springs died December 1, 2011. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs. Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating. Interment at Powder Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Saturday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bug was owner and operator of Powder Springs Service Station and Mower Shop. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Porter. Survivors include 1 son, Tony Porter of Dallas; 2 granddaughters, Heather Porter of Powder Springs and Amanda Summers of Miami; 2 great grandchildren, Payton and Hunter; nieces and nephews. Donations maybe made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation at www.komen.org. Bellamy Funeral Home Powder Springs in charge of arrangements.
