Mr. Fred Barfield age 87, of Smyrna, GA, passed away March 27, 2011. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA, with Jean Calhoun and Rev. Tony Samples officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Barfield was a native of Ashburn, Georgia, a U.S. Air Force WWII veteran and Founder and Owner of Marietta Auto Trim Shop in Marietta, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Grace Barfield; son, Randy Keith Barfield; grandson, Bryant Randy Barfield; granddaughter, Jessica Brie Barfield; brother, Jimmy Barfield; sister, Betty Jean Lathem; and brother, Billy Barfield. Surviving are son, Fred Charles Barfield, Cartersville, GA; daughter, Martha Jackson, Smyrna, GA; sister, Gail Grandy, Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Jason Barfield, Michael Barfield, Amber Villhauer, Vangie Ashbeck and Preston Owen; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
