Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna opened its doors Wednesday morning to offer customers a large selection of  fireworks, now legal after the new state law went into effect just in time to celebrate the Fourth of July. The store had 1,000 pounds on display at a time, but had 10,000 pounds on hand to restock the display as items were purchased.

MARIETTA — Local Independence Day festivities kick off tomorrow, starting with the Freedom Parade in downtown Marietta. The 1.5-mile-long march begins at 10 a.m. at Roswell Street Baptist Church, and about 35,000 people are expected to show up.
