Walton rebuild to begin in May; needs board OK

MARIETTA — The first part of rebuilding east Cobb’s 40-year-old Walton High School, estimated to cost $48 million, is expected to begin in May pending school board approval. With a completion date targeted for 2017, the first phase involves building 143 instructional units, most of which will be classrooms. The second phase, which includes a performing arts theater, a gym and athletic fields, will begin after the first phase is complete...
