MARIETTA — After 39 years of teaching third grade, Due West Elementary School teacher Joanne Doss said she didn’t want to retire. “I was hoping to make it to 40,” Doss said. The Cobb School District recognized Doss and 318 other employees — including 177 teachers — who are retiring this year with a luncheon at Roswell Street Baptist Church on Tuesday.
