Have you no decency, Congressman Ryan?

One of the first attacks leveled by Congressman Paul Ryan during last week's vice presidential campaign was to blame the deaths of four Americans at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya on the Obama administration.

It should be remembered that, in 2003, we were told Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and probably nuclear weapons that he was going to give the al Qaeda terrorists. "Mushroom clouds" would follow if the U.S. didn't invade Iraq...which also happened to be sitting on one of the world's largest oil fields.

We now know that 10 years, 4,500 American deaths, and $1 trillion later it was all a sham. Worse, not a single Bush administration official has ever been held accountable for the Iraq disaster.

But with Barack Obama in the White House, the GOP is suddenly all about accountability.

Ryan's attempt to capitalize on the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens to score some cheap debate points caught the attention of the late ambassador's father, Jan.

"It would really be abhorrent to make this into a campaign issue," said Stevens, who added he is getting regular briefings from the State Department. "The security matters are being adequately investigated...It does not belong in the campaign arena."

But Mr. Stevens doesn't understand that winning the White House is far more important to Mitt Romney's benefactors like casino owner Sheldon Adelstein than common decency.

While GOP leaders were whining about the "rude" treatment their poor little wonder boy - who never served in uniform - got at the hands of Vice President Joe Biden, another parent who lost a child in Benghazi had already told the GOP campaign not to include her son's death as part of Romney's "political agenda."

Evidently Ryan ignored the message.

Barbara Doherty spoke out after Romney talked about his chance meeting with her son, Glen Doherty, a Navy SEAL, at a Christmas party. Romney, who, like so many privileged boys, managed to dodge fighting in Vietnam, got all choked up as he talked about the dead warrior-hero in front of a big crowd, which infuriated the SEAL's mother.

"It’s wrong to use these brave young men, who wanted freedom for all, to degrade Obama,” said Doherty's mother. “I don’t trust Romney.”

All this happened before the debate and before the investigations in Benghazi have been completed, yet Ryan blithely used the deaths of four Americans to smear Obama.

At long last, Mr. Ryan. have you no decency?

Snake: Very typical for a Repuke. When you have nothing else take a comment out of context and continue to run with it. I am certain that the continued reminders of Allen West's race are unnecessary.

Just like a spitting liberal: "Lib in Cobb' posts and posts every 2 hours or so (18 times to here using "Lib in Cobb, then add the ones with Foley's name)on Foley's blog then posts that Foley has more response posts than DA King. Wow, what genius!

Let's be clear. Lib in Cobb IS Foley, and must check his blog every 2 hours to read his own posts...good grief. This is the same Kevin Foley who attacked King because of the number of Twitter followers he had. Like Obama and Big Bird - so typical and so mindless. And so hilarious.

D.A. King is the target...these morons need help. And Foley: Allen west is still a black man. hahahaahahaha

Kevin: This, your latest blog was posted on 10/16/12. DA's latest blog was posted on 10/17/12.

Your blog has 10 times the number of comments than DA's latest.

Great job! DA has lost his audience.

Laura, since these "two" clowns (Kevin and Lib in Cobb) are one and the same. I suggest we just ignore "them", instead of stroking "their" fur, by responding to the mindless blather "they" puke out all over this blog.

"They both" are victims of terminal confimation bias.

Lib, you lie so much, you forget which lie you are telling.

BTW, let me know if you are looking to re-locate. There are a couple of small villages in south Georgia that are lookng to replace their village idiots. I think you would fit the bill nicely.

@ Laura A - You and I agree. We should have universal healthcare or Medicare for every American man, woman and child. That way you don't have to pay healthcare insurance premiums to Tricare and I don't have to pay them to Blue Cross.

Laura: P.S. I will remind you, during the GOP primary, Michelle Bachmann was suggesting that VA benefits be cut and this dope wanted to be president. I will say that the GOP is only a little better of because Mittens was the pick of a very bad lot.

Laura:

The "sacred" agreement that the US governmenthad with its warriors was not always so "sacred". The VA healthcare system is and was punctuated with significant problems, the level of care in the VA hospitals is the worst in the nation. President Obama in the last 4 years has ordered improvement of those facilities. At one time Walter Reed had mold growing on the walls of patient rooms. Several years ago I had a good friend who was being eaten alive by kidney cancer, he was being diagnosed over the phone by the doctors at the VA in Atlanta. My friend died of that cancer caused by repeated exposure to Agent Orange during multiple tours in Viet Nam.

The VA Medical system is now better than it has been in years, because a liberal president made it happen.

You can say, "thank you" to President Obama at any time.

Regarding the healthcare premiums you mention: did your employees lose their husbands in the process of writing those latest press releases? Are they raising their children alone because Daddy died in a rocket attack or a training accident? Did they get their face shot off and do they need a few more surgeries before they can breathe properly through what used to be their nose?

You gotta be kidding, comparing YOUR employees health care premiums to the sacred agreement made between the U.S. government and its warriors. It figures you would cherry pick this topic. You probably agreed with Obama that our combat vets should pay for their own medical care....

Of note, I "formed my views" by working with liberals and listening to them rationalize and bend truths, mostly while trying to win awards. And while they were busy talking about how much they care about people, they mostly just supported the spending of OTHER people's money to assist those in need. Sort of like Obama barely gives anything to charities but Mitt regularly gives a large percentage.

From my favorite news webite, The Daily Beast.

Bob Schieffer who will be the moderator of the next debate, n response to all of the GOP condemnation of Candy Crowley. Schieffer said,"The team who is winning never complains about the umpires". That is a thing of beauty. I am sure that the "whistle nuts" won't like Schieffer either.

@Laura: I am also a capitalist and I am patriotic, but without the guns. I come from a very Blue state, most of the people there are capitalists also. You are looking more foolish by the minute.

@Kevin: I live about 5 miles from Mulligans, I drive by there often, just to see the new ignorance posted on their message board. Mulligans is indeed a dive. There was a time, many years ago, that I had been in more dives than Tarzan. Fortunately, times and my taste have changed.

DA: Regarding my post. You couldn't make it the following weekend because you were out of town and you wanted me to me with one of your buddies. I said, no thank you. You are telling only half of the story. Not a surprise. Try a little harder if you are going to twist the truth. My days of slumming are long over.

I will not be looking at the Fox link. As I have mentioned in the past, I would not wipe my dog's backside with anything FOX.

I have all the information I need to form the correct opinion regarding Candy Crowley and her purpose in last night's debate. The GOP and their hollow crowd (that would be you) can't stand it that she shut down your candidate, with the facts. The facts are the real problem here for you and the GOP on most things. Candy Crowley has had a long and storied career in journalism, winning more awards than you can remember.

Have a nice day!

Stop rationalizing, Li. You know damned well the moderator is not supposed to enter the debate. That is what she did. She did not say "We have to move along, Governor, change the subject." She tried to correct what he was saying. end of discussion. Look at the link I sent you.

As to Mulligan's, here;s your post.

"@DA: If you could change that get together date to the following Saturday, I would be happy to join you. I am going to be out of town this coming weekend." .

@ Lib in Cobb - Wish I could take credit but "slop chute" has been around for donkey years to describe dives like Mulligans. Drive by it sometime. Great spot to wile away the day and talk about the White House smelling like fried chicken and collards.

@ Laura A - I've got news for you. I'm as capitalist as they come. Don't believe me? Ask my 28 Cobb County based employees. Of course the Dems have corporate supporters. Lots of them.

Somewhere along the way, when you were "forming your views" you and other reactionaries who post here got it in your heads that capitalism and social responsibility are mutually exclusive, just like you believe conservatives have a monopoly on patiotism and Chistian principles.

By the way, before he left his post, Robert Gates, the Republican DoD secretary, said Tricare is "eating the DoD alive" and recommended the president increase premiums, which are still far lower than what I pay for my employees.

DA: If you were at all familiar with the role of a debate moderator you would know that it is the job of any moderator to keep the process moving. Mittens was stuck on the minutia. At that point Mittens was struggling to make a point using minutia and Crowley in the interest of time stopped it. WITH FACTS!
