"The Krieble Foundation is a very good red card program that says, you get to be legal but you don't get a path to citizenship, and so there's a way that ultimately you end up with a country where there's no more illegality, but you haven't automatically given amnesty to anyone." -Republican Presidential Newt Gingrich on his legalization proposal for illegal aliens residing in the United States, during the most recent GOP debate, November 22, 2011

To help readers follow candidate Gingrich’s urging, I post the latest amnesty scheme HERE.

What a shame that Ted Kennedy is not alive to see and appreciate the fact that a leading GOP candidate for president of the United States is recycling the “we can solve illegal immigration by making the illegal legal and we promise to secure the border soon!” goop.

(Note - some news agencies have reported the above quote as “…you get to be legal but you don't get a pass to citizenship…”)

What a disgrace to propose amnesty for illegals when our unemployment rate is over 10%. Gingrich doesn't live in our world obviously.

They are not only doing jobs Americans don't want to do - they are employed in construction, manufacturing, and meat processing plants. Also, many illegals are self-employed in landscaping, painting, tree removal, roofing, etc. They are directly competing (unfairly) with citizens whose long livelihoods in those businesses have been decimated. Who is worried about the unfair competition?

I looked at the chart for coming here legally in the first place. It is really not that complicated, it actually serves to keep out the undesirables and unneeded who make up a large part of the illegal population living here on taxpayer paid benefits.
