AUSTELL — On the afternoon of May 2, a woman was parked outside of her apartment near Six Flags Drive in Austell, when she was robbed at gunpoint, according to a warrant released by the Magistrate Court of Cobb County.

The warrant stated Andrell Blunt of Atlanta approached the woman with a shot gun and demanded the keys to her tan 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt. The woman exited her vehicle and Blunt drove off with her purse that had her identification, Social Security card and credit card, as well as Mary Kay cosmetic inventory, which the woman sells, according to the warrant.

On the evening of June 4, another woman was parked with her son in front of her apartment on Sweetwater Circle in Mableton when she was also robbed by Blunt, the warrant stated.

The warrant said Blunt existed a small white Dodge car and approached this second woman holding a “black, single barrel, pump shotgun.”

After the woman exited the vehicle with her son, Blunt demanded her purse, but when she refused, he drove off in her silver 2011 Toyota Corolla, the warrant stated.

The first woman pointed Blunt out during a lineup Aug. 21 and the second woman also positively identified Blunt as the person who robbed her at gunpoint, the warrant stated.

Blunt was charged with two felony counts of armed robbery with a weapon and is being held without bond.
