SMYRNA — A habitual offender faces charges of aggressive driving and attempting to elude police after an incident at 8:44 p.m. April 12 near Atlanta Road and Cumberland Parkway.

Kevin Chadwick of Smyrna, declared a habitual violator March 3, 2011, was driving his silver 1998 Nissan Sentra, traveling between the two southbound lanes of Atlanta Road.

According to a warrant, when Smyrna Police using blue lights and a siren attempted to pull Chadwick over, he “did intimidate two other vehicles that were in front of him, which were blocking his escape route.”

The warrant states Chadwick came within inches of striking both vehicles, which were crossing over Interstate 285 on the overpass.

Chadwick was arrested on charges of driving while being a habitual violator, failure to maintain lane, aggressive driving and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. He has not been released from the Cobb jail.
