Georgia Hornor Witschy, age 67, of Marietta, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Roswell United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for a reception following the service at the church. Mrs. Witschy, born in Manchester, New Hampshire, was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Hornor. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas receiving a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education; later she would teach in California, Texas, and Georgia. Mrs. Witschy also flew, as a stewardess, with Pan American Airways; and in her later years worked as an executive assistant with many Atlanta based companies. She was an active member of Roswell United Methodist Church for 34 years; and was a loving and beloved individual who will be missed by everyone who knew her. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Gary Witschy of Marietta. Sons: Jon Witschy of Kennesaw, and Lance Witschy of Hoover, AL. Grandchildren: Henry, Seren, Steele, and Ryder. Brothers: Jack Hornor of Helena, AR, and Lawson Hornor of Crocketts Bluff, AR. Sister, Mary Good Forsythe of Colorado Springs, CO.
