Roswell is a short drive away for people who want to go there and enjoy the “relaxed, suburban chic” activities it provides. Our Marietta Square has an ambience of its own.
There is something for all ages from playing on “The General” to enjoying a performance at The Strand. Food choices range from an ice-cream cone to Italian, French, Greek or Mexican. Versatile shops surround the area including upscale clothing, antiques and vintage items, jewelry and art galleries. There are evening and noontime concerts at Glover Park and a thriving Farmer’s Market on summer weekends.
Cloning The Square to duplicate a near-by location would seem to be an endeavor without merit. Our mayor, city council members and people in charge of promoting Marietta have done a commendable job in bringing enhancements to The Square. It’s a work in progress; always changing but, for most, time spent at the Square is rewarded with a positive afterglow.
