The finalists, listed alphabetically, are: The BrightSide News Vinings edition; LGE Credit Union; the Marriott Courtyard Vinings hotel; Social Vinings restaurant; and the Vinings Historic Preservation Society.
“We are happy to recognize five Vinings-area organizations for their commitment to the Vinings community and for their continued presence,” said Glenn Christian, chairman of the VBA. “They have contributed to the overall definition of our community and we congratulate them on their achievements.”
Each of the finalists will be invited to speak at the Dec. 4 luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at Social Vinings, 3621 Vinings Slope Drive, to share some of their secrets on how they have succeeded.
The 2012 winner, to be selected by the association’s board, will be announced at the Jan. 8 luncheon.
Vinings Jubilee was the 2011 business of the year. In 2010, the award went to the Courtyard by Marriott Vinings, and in 2009, SOHO restaurant was the winner.
