The Rhode Island Democrat delivered the cards at the Providence VA Medical Center on Monday morning. The cards were made by students at more than 60 schools in Cicilline’s congressional district.
The congressman also plans to give cards to veterans through the Rhode Island National Guard’s Family Assistance Center, the Rhode Island Veterans Home and other homes for seniors.
Members of the public who wish to participate can write a note or sign a card, address it simply to “Valentines for Veterans” and send it to any VA medical center. The cards can also be dropped off in person.
