Phyllis Carol Taylor 70 of Marietta, GA. passed away on Thursday, the 14th of November, 2013. Born in Chickamauga, GA, Carol grew up in Walker County and attended Gordon Lee High School. She then attended Bessie Tift College in Forsyth, GA and spent a year abroad studying in Lausanne, Switzerland. She worked in New York, New York after college for TWA Airlines. Carol planted her roots in Marietta in 1985 where she worked for as a Real Estate Sales Broker and then as the Receptionist for the Atlanta office of CBRE where she was also known as the Director of First Impressions. While on a fateful flight from London to New York in 1973, Carol met Robert K. Taylor of Hull, England whom she later married.  She is survived by Robert, and her 2 children, Heather Allison Taylor, Adam Paul Taylor, her grandson, Ethan Robert and her special pet, Savannah Love.  Carol is also survived by her nephew, several nieces, cousins, friends and colleagues. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Drewry Fry Wofford and Della Mae Wofford; her brothers Drewry F. Wofford, Jr. and James A. Wofford; her sisters Shirley W. Tapp and Betty W. Duncan. Carol was a member of the Daughters of the King as well as a Greeter and Usher at St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church in Marietta.  Carol also participated in several volunteer opportunities organized by her employer, CBRE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stained Glass Memorial Fund at St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church in Marietta in Carol’s memory.  The Memorial Service will be at her church located at 1795 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, GA 30062 at 10AM on Saturday, the 23rd on November with a reception to follow also at the church in the Garden Room.
