ATLANTA -Hours of heavy rain soaked North Georgia on Monday, causing problems in several neighborhoods in the metro area. There were no reports of any severe damage in Cobb county from the line of storms.
A tree fell into a house on Altacrest Drive in Scottdale. Fortunately, no one was hurt. No one was injured when a tree crashed on top of a car on Charles Allen Drive near Eighth Street in midtown. In Johns Creek, Wilson Road was closed throughout the night as crews worked to replace a telephone pole after a tree knocked it over.
With flood warnings remaining in effect for Forsyth, Gwinnett and Walton counties on Tuesday, drivers are urged to keep an eye out for flooded roads during the morning commute.
