Smyrna police seek public’s help in ID’ing bank robber

SMYRNA — Smyrna authorities are looking for a man they say robbed a Wells Fargo on South Cobb Drive on Wednesday.

Police say an armed man entered the bank at about 2:30 that afternoon and gave a teller a demand note. The man fled the scene in a silver vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Officer C.D. Graeff, Smyrna police spokesman.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man, 18 to 24 years old and approximately 5 feet, six inches tall. He was last wearing a baggy gray T-shirt, blue jeans and a light colored baseball hat at the time of the robbery, Graeff said.
