Senior Center to have fraud presentation

The Freeman Poole Senior Center, 4025 S. Hurt Road in Smyrna, will have Recognizing Consumer Fraud and Scams for ages 55-plus Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Seniors can learn more about the latest scams being perpetuated on the unsuspecting public, including the top 10 consumer frauds, the top 10 consumer myths and Internet/e-commerce scams, such as “phishing” and identity theft.

The presentation will be made by a representative from the Georgia Governor’s Office of Consumer Affairs and, there will be a Q&A session.
