Salute to America’ revue to celebrate patriotism

MARIETTA — The Strand Theatre will present “Salute to America,” a new musical revue and tribute to both classic and new patriotic music, Sept. 7, 8, 9 and 11.

Featuring more than 30 songs in 90 minutes, this show

will include everything from traditional songs such as “America the Beautiful,” “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “The Star-Spangled Banner” to more contemporary numbers including “We’re an American Band,” originally by Grand Funk Railroad, to “Born in the USA” by Bruce Springsteen.

Show times are Sept. 7 and 8 at 8 p.m., Sept. 9 at 3 p.m., and Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 or $15 with a military ID. All tickets are assigned seating. Salute to America is sponsored and presented by the Georgia Power Foundation. The Strand Theatre is located at 117 North Park Square.
